One worked, the other DOA

Powerful and LOUD but moves a lot of air. Was used to cool the radio here and louder than an AC truck fan! I'm glad I bought 2 because one was DOA. But the worker was strong enough, I didn't need two

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Not as good as it says

Good price for high performance fan

fan works well if you only need high performance fan for every occasion. I use them as exhaust fans for my PC case with a voltage controlled power regulator. At the moment it works well and creates a lot of vacuum when needed. The bad news is that I don't think they're ball bearing fans, so eventually they'll start to squeak. They're noisy, but that's to be expected.

Super Powerful!: Computer components

I have an infrared heater that started making noise and died so of course I took it apart. Luckily it used a standard 120mm fan so I ended up with this beast after a failed attempt to design a silent computer fan. My heater roared and quickly started warming up my house - I think it even blew some papers off my coffee table. After 2 weeks, the fan is still very strong and keeps me in a good mood, although I have to turn up the TV volume a few notches.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Nothing here

Doesn't have half the rated power, draws only 0.78 amps.

I ordered 5 of these fans and just started the project and found that the fan draws less than half of its 1.6 amp current rating! Completely false advertising of its power output.

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • Dubious purchase for the elderly

Replacement for the old Mac G4

Almost a replacement for the 2002 Apple Power Mac G4 that I use. Fits perfectly like the original. I also had to change the metal guard from the old fan. The connector fitted into the existing header on the motherboard, but I had to rearrange the wires to match the original. I noticed that the wires aren't as heavy as the original. The noise level is difficult to pinpoint due to the other fans and drives in the computer case, but it's a definite improvement over the noisy fan it replaced.

Pros
  • Great variety
Cons
  • Outdated

Works as a fan, the speed is adjustable!

These are incredibly powerful fans (with adjustable speed based on voltage). First I tried different fans to cool the server rack, but they just couldn't get enough air. On the other hand, they were amazing. They can be very loud at full speed, but I don't know of any other fan that moves the same amount of air and is quieter. (In fact, some other fans sound just as loud and move a lot less air.) I don't think I'd recommend them for a home PC unless you're deaf or don't mind sleeping with…

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Makes me nervous
