Money saved on driving, fog lights and headlight itself

I ordered this part as a DIY but be aware the level of complexity is high. There is very little clearance under the dash and steering column. Once installed, the vent automatically adjusts for heating or cooling. Great part!

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • You could have chosen a newer model

Failed in less than 3 years.

The product was easy to install and appeared to be an original part, but it failed after less than 3 years (30 months). For the price it's unacceptable and I wonder if this is a Honda rejected OEM. The replacement drive was an original part, circa 2007, and lasted 11 years before needing to be replaced.

  • cool product
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Successful replacement

With YouTube videos for installation instructions, this unit makes a great replacement for a failed temperature driver motor. Make sure you lower the temperature completely and then turn off the device before disconnecting the old device. There are only 7 total screws that need to be removed and reinstalled to complete the replacement, but some of these are difficult to access. It is very helpful to have both short and long Philips screwdrivers, wrenches and a flashlight.

Pros
  • Durable test results
Cons
  • Modern

Painful to install but solved my problem

Like many others, this solved my problem of constantly blowing hot air on the driver's side while cold air was blowing on the passenger side. I ended up removing the floor panel under the steering wheel and struggling with the tight space to slide it in and out. It took an hour to an hour and a half to remove and an hour to put back. Tip: If you're slim and flexible enough, slide face up on your back and feet out the door for a better view. screws. It's almost impossible to do otherwise.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Older model

Manufactured by Honda OE

This item looked exactly like the original unit which failed after 10 years of service in my 2007 Honda Odyssey (driver's side A/C). Both the old and new blocks were made by Denso. This new unit fitted the car with no problems and restored my Odyssey AC to good working condition. When the old unit failed, the air conditioner started blowing hot air out of the vents on the driver's side and cold air on the passenger's side. Replacing it with this block fixed it.

  • Pleasing

  • Unfashionable

Cold air is blowing again!

Our air conditioning blew cold air to the passenger and rear, but not to me as a driver. We did a little research, ordered this part and were able to get the old part and put the new one in 30 minutes. I work from home, have five kids, early 30's and don't have great tech skills. All I needed was a screwdriver and a YouTube video. The cold air blows against me again and makes the 3,000 mile ride very easy! As a side note, the location where this happens is more easily accessible for a smaller…

Easy Installation - Lighting Kits and Accessories

I have a 2007 Honda Odyssey Touring. When the air conditioner operates, hot air blows out of the vent on the driver's side. I've looked at YouTube videos and other websites that deal with these symptoms. The solution was to replace the temperature drive motor assembly on the driver's side. There are 4 screws holding this block. The device is located under the center vent on the driver's side. After replacing the block the problem went away. Installation was easy. ATTENTION. Be sure to use a…

Tough Repair - Lighting and Lighting Accessories

FYI, if you're thinking about making this repair, it's more complicated than just sitting down and swapping out a part based on its location. partly is PITA. It's very crowded in front of the driver's seat, and the only way to get to the engine is to remove the plastic pipe in front of it that's attached with three screws. To do this, remove the plastic panel under the dashboard. I was unable to fully remove the plastic cover despite pulling the tabs. Gave up on getting the 3rd screw holding…
