Fits perfectly on my Inspiron 570

Perfect fit and very well made. Perfect replacement for my dead PSU. The only difference is that there is no green light, but who cares because it WORKS! My only recommendation is to take a picture of each connector with your phone before unplugging it. That way there are no surprises when you don't know what goes where. After removing the screws that secure the PSU, you should press down on the metal spring tab that holds the PSU in place, after which it can be easily removed.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Some small things

Fits Dell Inspiron 570 exactly

I replaced it myself on my mother's computer (Dell Inspiron 570 circa 2010) after the power button started behaving erratically. The different connectors on the new part were marked with numbers that matched the numbers in Mom's car exactly, so installation couldn't be easier. Since my mother is 86 and doesn't really like change, it was much better than buying a new computer.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Worked as stated.

This power supply solved the problem and still works. However, the green LED that indicates power and is an important diagnostic tool is missing. There is a hole where it normally sits, but no LED. For that reason I'm giving it a 3 as it should be an exact replacement. It doesn't give me much confidence that I'm incomplete.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Not everything is as good as it says

Works with Dell Studio XPS 435MT.

Update: More than two years later it still works better than ever. My 2008 Dell Studio XPS desktop computer would not turn on and after some research I found that it was most likely the power supply. Not wanting to spend too much money on this old computer, I chose this one. Unfortunately, when I tried to install it, it only had a 4-pin motherboard connector. My system requires an 8-pin connector. Instead of sending it back I looked at Revain for an adapter. I found and ordered an Electop 4 to…

But it worked. on Internal Components

Replaced the old PSU with a Dell Inspiron 570 that is 10 years old. It "worked" for my application, allowing the client to use it again. However, it didn't fit (see pictures). The power cable connector was sticking out of the PSU frame, preventing the screws from securing it securely. The description specifically says it works with the Inspiron 570, so this is disappointing. Dell also has a second PSU latch system that still latches it, but it's not perfect and puts a strain on that latch…

No green light as shown, order cheaper

Not as advertised. All images show a green power light, just like OEM units. As long as the power supply works properly, do not order this one, but ones that are 10-15 euros cheaper and have no backlight. My first power supply didn't have a backlight, instead it had an empty hole. I complained and they said I would get a replacement power supply along with the light. When the replacement came there was no light in it and it didn't even have a hole where it was supposed to be. Not that it…

  • Makes me nervous

available Note that this is most likely *not* a replacement for the AC adapter that came with your Dell. The PSU I received was missing some basic connectors that the original Dell PSU had: no PCI-e power connectors (so I couldn't use the old Nvidia GeForce 9600 graphics card that came with my Dell system supply power) and it doesn't even do it Dell Studio 540 is is confusing and incorrect and needs to be corrected. If you have *any* 10 year old or newer graphics card that came with your…

Working but arrived damaged

Pretty easy to install but when I started to connect all the connectors I noticed the P5 was damaged. Luckily the P6 was fine so I was able to use it. If I needed both connectors, I would have to ask for a replacement. There were no loose parts in the package so I can only assume it was damaged prior to packing.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • I have no major complaints about it, everything is fine
