Genuine Universal Replacement Nintendo Opening Review

Had to return the unit for money as it was not new as stated in the product description which was available at the time of purchase. My first review disappeared so I'm writing again. The unit had dirt and dust due to obvious signs of use and a part was missing as if it had been a really bad repair. Brainy Trade was happy to be back, so at least it looks like it was a supply glitch from my unit. They ran out, so they borrowed someone else's device.

I have had a Wii since April 2007 and the drive broke in June of that year. I've tried cleaning the lens and repositioning the mount arm, but none of that helped. I decided to buy this drive and replace it myself and it works! It's SLIGHTLY louder than the old drive, but that might just be my setup. Disc read errors occurred in many games after the wii had warmed up. I found a hard drive replacement video online, bought a screwdriver and this hard drive and it took about 20 minutes to replace. I have some experience with electronics but with a good video and attention to detail most people could do this repair.
