Updating due to fantastic customer service! The company reached out to me and sent two newer controllers they are testing and they do work much better. I prefer the feel of the original controller, and it might be an operator error but I still can't get the turbo button to do anything on the new ones but I'm not too concerned as I had just needed a replacement controller. I ordered this controller because I was interested to test out the turbo feature, I thought it might be useful in some of the games that I play.It's OK, I had to disable it because it's in effect all the time and screws you up if you're in a situation that doesn't merit or call for turbo engaging.I found that for some reason the left thumbstick wants to act like I pressed it so randomly whatever pops up during gameplay or between gameplay whether I pushed down the thumbstick or not. So I only have one PS4 controller, which is the one the console came with, and needed a second one to play two player games when we entertained guests. This fits that role nicely. Right out of the box, it connected seamlessly and was useable without any weirdness that we've noticed so far. It looks nice and understated and I like the fact that it resembles the original controllers design.

The size and layout take a little getting used to. It is as if it were designed for larger hands - everything is spaced out just slightly more than a standard PS4 controller. I like this controller a lot but there is a weird glitch that occurs when you are playing with this controller and in very few minutes it brings up the game record option mid-gameplay. I ordered this for my step-son's birthday because he loves the feel of the PS5 controller in his hands, but loves being in his room playing his PS4. This controller is for the PS4, but resembles the PS5 controller.It works as expected. My step-son loves it.

Do not get it don't bother if it doesn't work. I selected this so I can have extra remotes for my PlayStation and it's just a huge no. The remote glitches or has a slower reaction, just does not work.

The nephew is pleased with this replacement controller. Let's just say he is.rather hard on controllers (both from extensive use and occasional stepping on/sitting on said device) so when he needs a replacement, I am not looking to spend too much money. This one has better responsiveness than some other generic replacements on the market. Hopefully he doesn't break this one any time soon!
