I have experience removing links from expanders. Before I could finish the work, it got scratches from the black paint. Also, it is very difficult to remove links. I threw mine away.

The strap itself is of excellent quality but it is designed for a very wide wrist and I was unaware of it. I bought it for my dad and his wrist is about 8 inches long and it was too big for him.

I have an $80 Twist-o-Flex spedel. it makes this group look like a toy. it is thinner and does not have the spring tension (tension) of the spindle. I find this safer than the original group. This band is comfortable, stylish and I'm happy with the quality. It was also easy to attach an Apple Watch to this strap.

Extremely difficult to remove links without damaging the bracelet. Even if the links are removed, the tension is too loose. For these two reasons, this band seems to be a bad copy of the Speidel band. I've watched the Speidel bands a couple of times. Although removing the links requires some care, the band will not be damaged when the band is reassembled. So if you need a rubber band, choose Speidel. It will make your life a lot less frustrating.
