This is a useful product for gold plating. .I used this product many years ago and have only recently used it again. If you use metal foil to cover things up or to highlight documents, you should at least try this product. If you are using a more modern product such as plastic art sheeting etc then you do not need to use this product. The product is very viscous. So if you do fine restorations (I restored Swedish Gustavian Cartel watches) you need to be extra careful when applying gold. The sheet shows the thickness of the glue due to the brush strokes, even if you smudge a lot! Basically I had to remove and re-sand the first application of gold leaf.
