These heads did not work well with shaving cream which I tried 3 times. However, when I shave with baby oil and water, they work really well! I will have smooth skin in about a day and a half which is crazy to me! Make sure you sanitize these heads after use (I use rubbing alcohol) as I get more irritation from the razor after the first use than I did the first time if I don't. I plan to continue using these heads because they are the best I have ever used.

I am a brave African American with curly hair. I've been bald for a year and I'm a bit obsessed with cutting my hair. I don't need a single strand on my head, so I press hard when shaving my hair with most razors. I've cut myself several times with other brands. This brand was the best I have ever tried when it comes to shaving with a 3-5 blade razor. I intersect with other brands. (Remember I'm new to shaving). My advice: A moisture strip may not be enough to shave just by dampening the razor.

I use Venus razors almost exclusively and this is a good set of replacement heads for the price. The blades are very sharp and I haven't cut myself (that often) using them. However, I have found that the blades dull very quickly and I get ingrown hairs quite often. I can use each for 2 weeks before needing to replace - and I don't have thick hair at all. The rim also doesn't moisturize at all; It only helps prevent cuties from shaving.

Used these razors oh. 8 years or something? This works really well for the hair on my legs which is coarse as it all falls out. And it grows sideways, down, a little to the right, well, sometimes maybe sideways to the left; or depending on a hair wanting to grow on this side of my leg while the hair on the other side wants to grow the other way. So when I shave like a normal person with a crappy razor, I get a razor rash from the pulling and tugging. I'm trying to accommodate the different ways

This Venus Swirl razor works really well! Provides a close, moisturized shave and is ideal for sensitive skin. There are 5 contouring blades that cut hair effectively without tearing the skin. After using 5 blades I can never go back to 4 or 3! This razor offers the best and most comfortable shave ever! The only problem is that small strands of hair (even after the first use) get stuck to the moisture strips and don't come off. This is not a very good feature.

I ordered these razors online because a lot of stores are starting to take the regular Venus Swirl razors off the shelves and replace them with the "Extra Smooth" finish. They have the same thing a few ago Made time with Venus Embrace Both the regular Embrace and the Swirl were great razors and I love them What I ordered was a regular Swirl and NOT Extra Smooth but what I got was Extra Smooth I was so upset when my package arrived.The picture of the box on Amazon didn't say Extra Smooth exactly

I used them for a while and then switched to Venus blades with large moisture streaks on top and bottom. Even though they gave me a good shave, I think I shave better with these blades. As long as you use enough shaving cream or soap, you don't really need those moisturizing strips. They're so dirty when they get wet. If you accidentally lean them against something, the strip will become sticky. I'd rather use regular blades than all that fancy stuff. If you have a 4 or 5 blade razor you will…

You've given me the worst razor burns of my life! At first I thought I might be using a bad shaving head, so I replaced it with another only to have irritated, burning feet again. These razors do not emit moisture and the blades appear to have dulled before the first use. I've never had this problem with a Venus/Gillette product, very strange. I am very satisfied with the Venus Swirl. This particular razor offers a very close yet comfortable shave. I find the ball in the middle gives extra flexibility. I've also noticed that if I drop this razor (which I do a million times every shower) the razor doesn't fall off like other razors I've used.
