I didn't use banana plugs because I only needed banana plugs. They worked well, were easy to install, and were firmly attached to the bezel using the included hardware. Good value for money. I only needed a few but it was better than buying 2 or 4 sockets elsewhere.

The set screw provided will not pinch any wire less than an 8 or 10. The sockets provided are well made but next time I'll choose a different source. They were intended to be used to build emergency antennas, so I wanted the ends to be field replaceable without the need for soldering.
