Seems to work well and low volume is great. It's not a big problem that you have to reset the time every time. I think you can't have everything and the price is reasonable.

I bought it to use as a mouthwash timer which comes with a one minute instruction sheet. This also works for timing tooth brushing or determining how long a shower lasts. The timer counts up or down and is quick and easy to set up, and the quieter alarm is loud enough for me.
