Description of πŸ§— Optimized Rock Climbing Rope Bag - NiceClimbs

Reinforced backpack style carrying straps. Water repellent 1x1 meter rope tarp with color-coded loops. Zippered storage pocket for keys and wallet. Folds and zips into its own pocket for compact storage if bringing along on a multi-pitch. Just a nice quality rope bag for a fair price.

More than I expected

Received the bag today. As you can see from the photos, it works like a backpack and tarp. It holds my 60m of 9.8mm rope and can easily accommodate more gear. I see myself tying this backpack at the front of my body and also using my regular backpack. Great design and the material looks like it could take a bit of abuse.

Sturdy construction at a great price

I bought this rope bag last week. Fantastic bag for the price. It's really durable and has a great design. The outer layer is made of very strong nylon and the clasps are metal so you can tighten the straps to tighten the bag. It folds up nicely into a large rope canvas and has backpack straps so you can easily carry it on the go. I think this is a great climbing bag and an unbeatable price.

Very jealous? for climbing

I was at the Idaho Climbing Festival recently and of course used these bags to carry my ropes. The other guests were jealous when they found out that the backpack I was carrying WAS a rope bag. Another time I put this whole bag in my slightly larger climbing bag and again they were amazed that I could get my rope more compact. I got comments like "It's good that the way it folds keeps the rope secure and covers everything" or "I wish my bag had backpack straps like yours." Everyone was amazed…

Took a few weeks then spent

I was initially excited as it fit my 70m 9.6 perfectly and the price was very good. I hauled it up the rock and quickly found that the tarp feature was too small and flimsy to keep my rope out of the dirt. Then there was the buckle. Solving it is just a nightmare. Fast forward a few weeks using between Rifle, Regal and Non-Weep 3-4 times a week and the site completely blew up, dropping my rope in the dirt. Still, it would probably be good for gym use, but just not suitable for outdoor use…

For $20 this is a great rope bag. Fits (previously) 100ft of 11mm Tech rope, Harness, 30ft of Combo Webbing, Carabiner, Rescue 8, Prusiks and 50ft of 6mm Assist rope and it tightens nicely. There will be more equipment as this will be the starting point for SAR. The way the pull cord works at the hole is great for tensioning the rope so it doesn't "completely" close. this creates a nice oval hole which, if your rope is laid correctly, provides a payout. With the metal tabs in place, it's as…

Excellent quality bag very small tarpaulin

For the price this is a great rope bag. I have a 60m rope, a bag of chalk, a Moon Lence camp chair and a hammock in the main compartment. I have a 9.8mm 80m that fits in here easily but obviously has less room for other things. The buckles are difficult to unbuckle, but coincidentally they don't unbuckle. I was worried it wouldn't have a zipper and something would fall out, but that wasn't a problem. So far, pushing the rope, putting larger items on it and fastening the buckles has helped me…
