    Works great at home

    I thought we would use them at the campsite for the kids to check in while walking. When we first got them, we used them at home. My wife and daughter hiked about 10 miles (no exaggeration) and I could hear them so clearly it was like they were right next to me! I never expected them to work so well!

    Great for keeping in touch while hiking

    So far we've used this on day trips. I left my husband at about 10,000 feet and continued for another 2 miles to over 11,500 feet. We could hear each other the whole time we were apart. Not sure how long the battery will last, but we turned it off when not in use just in case. Highly recommended.

    Great radio for everyday use!

    I typically use walkie-talkies when I'm hiking, saying goodbye to a group, or just for the occasional outdoor activity. So far these radios have worked great! I was on a trip yesterday and used it. We stayed within a 5 mile radius but the audio was clear and good. The battery has not been discharged for 6 hours. There are many channels to go through with privacy codes!

    GOCOM G600 FRS in Walkie Talkie

    I really wanted these walkie talkies because they would be great for when we go to the park, zoo etc. We get a walkie talkie sound radios follow the instructions insert the batteries and make sure they are on the charger. They've been charged for over 24 hours and we couldn't even get them to turn on. The only thing that could turn on was the light from the lamp and you could see the battery at the top indicated it was charging but it never came on. Very disappointed it didn't work for us…

Having two walkie-talkies as well as batteries, a charger and a headset made it very beneficial for me. I would have liked a few more volume settings. I used it at the first weather radio volume and still found it a bit loud. Volume 3, on the other hand, is better suited for individual use. Lots of settings to mute device sounds if you want.     Everything was fine at delivery. I bought these for my child and they are a very suitable target considering the quality. The sound quality was never great, but they worked fine for a few months. Then one of them just stopped making noises other than the beeping when turned on and off. I contacted support and explained everything. They explained that they were fully charged.     Bought for farm use no more than 200 yards away. I haven't tried long range testing as I live in a very hilly area where no civilian portable radio would get far anyway. The light blue color is convenient - they are difficult to lose. One of the previous reviewers complained about the difficulty in opening the battery compartment, but it seemed trivial to me. Only slight complaints are that adjusting the speaker volume isn't as easy with the buttons as it is with a knob, and I miss the "call"…
