I reordered it, it came early but its NOT new! The packaging has been opened and I would like to choose a different iron for my girl.

Works great. I like the settings. Multiple heat settings. The crimp is tiny though, no bigger than it was in my 80's. Although I still like him. I just didn't realize how small the crimp would be.

crimp plates are too small making crimps look weird instead of perfectly crimped. I bought this crimper because it is ceramic, the purchase ended up being disappointing.

So bought for my daughter 6 and 9 years old. I just stumbled across it and remembered growing up and having pliers. I loved mine so much and couldn't believe they were still there. I would say I also bought the 2" which I like better. It just depends on your preference. My eldest likes small crimps and my youngest likes crimps. Of course the bigger one goes much faster!

I chose to buy this crimping tool over Revlon because it was only a few dollars cheaper, although both got great reviews. I have very thin, thin, flat, straight, black Asian hair. I tried teasing and used different products that promised volume. This crimper worked the best and took the least amount of time! All I did was part the hair (as if you wanted to curl it), hold the curling iron firmly at the roots for about 5 seconds, and move on to the next section. Of course, I stopped about halfway
