Holds my fine but thick hair

Pros: Gets as hot as possible. Holds my fine but thick hair. Sometimes I forget to turn it on, but after that it heats up quickly. Cons: No auto shut off. Accidentally raise the temperature from time to time. The tip is too short to be fully protected from burns. I have to unwind the line once every few weeks. Overall verdict: I haven't found the perfect curling iron yet. It has a great run, is reliable, inexpensive and works abroad (with an adapter). Despite its limitations, this is the bestโ€ฆ

Pretty good curling iron

The curling iron gets comfortable and hot. One quirk is that when you plug it in, you actually have to turn the switch on (even if it was left in the 'on' position) - I think this is done so that when you plug it in you really want it to be included. The only thing that I think could be better is the hold of the hair. I have curly, coarse hair and it still slips off the ends of my hair when I try to twist it.

Stupid Design - Hair Curler

Works like a decent curling iron but I hate the design. First, the hard tip, which is said to not burn, is too short. I touched the hot iron several times and even accidentally stuck my finger in the oversized hole in the top of the iron. I have Hot Tools with the next smaller barrel size and the grip knob on the end is much longer (and more secure). The next problem is leverage. Too short. When I pick up the iron, my thumb slides over the temperature dial and lowers it without knowing it. Doโ€ฆ

Always use thermal protection.

Heats up very quickly. I read several reviews about burning hair so I gave it an average score. I always use a heat protectant spray because of this credit. Doesn't dry out my very fine hair.

Great curling iron

This curling iron is the best I have ever used. First, don't pull your hair. The cord attached to the base rotates, so you don't have to adjust it. All the controls are out of the way, so you can't turn it on or off or change the heat settings. Every time you turn it on, the temperature stays the same (unless you change it, of course). You'll have to play around with this to figure out what temperature is right for your hair, but it's all trial and error. I bought it with a gift card, believing
