If you never want to write another System Security Plan or spend hours reading the NIST SP 800-53 again, get started with the GovReady-Q Compliance Server, an open source project for techies who aren't FISMA experts.
I like that it is easy enough so even non technical people can use this product without any issues because there are no complicated steps required in order install/use govready pbc compliance server software as long they have basic knowledge of computers such security threats etc.. There's nothing i dislike about using Governd Ready PCS but if anything its something very minor which isnβt really relevant since we don;' t rely heavily upon what other users might think when reviewing our products
Pros
Personally id suggest most businesses should consider deploying gpcs compliant desktop management system into all personal devices across your workforce especially those who do not know too well either coding
I like that this product allows me as someone without security background/expertise in cybersecurity systems but have some knowledge of technology -to be able understand what is being done under my platform's hood when it comes time do apply changes myself (or ask IT). The fact there are several ways how can we configure our system makes sense too; however sometimes they make things way more complicated than necessary by adding unnecessary steps between simple tasks such as changing firewallβ¦
Pros
Easy access for most non technical users.
You don't really require any experience with Linux or similar OSs, just basic technical understanding about networking protocols used within your network stack / infrastructure would suffice enough if you want perform routine maintenance work yourself instead waiting till tech guys come around again next week at best
Cons
Not sure yet which one among various versions available could've been better
