📻 Compact and Portable: GPX R300S Am/FM Armband Radio with Earbuds in Black Review

Radio can't turn on the loudest AM station in Los Angeles (kfi). I've tried many positions in the apartment I live in and nothing has worked. He got angry and threw it in the trash. headphones saved.

Bought two of these in June, the first broke after a month and the second doesn't work very well and doesn't get many stations. It is now July 20th. I would not recommend taking them. However, they were bought because I had previously used two with no problems.

This radio is perfect for my purposes. Excellent reception, light weight. Great for hiking! I didn't buy it for walking, but as a travel/hiking/ball game companion. The headphones are pretty uncomfortable but I figured I'd go in and get other headphones. The radio is great for hiking and baseball games (if they ever let fans in the stands again!).

ITEM NOT WORKING! I put the batteries in and the radio won't turn on. I'm almost ready to take it apart and even see if the circuit board is there. My fault is that I was deceived by China. $7.77 is not worth my time to return the item. The older I get the more I value things because I prefer to do other things. A big scam at this price as consumers "just swallow the losses".

The sound is normal, nothing outstanding even when using high quality headphones. Tuning in to preset stations and scrolling through all 20 takes a long time before you get back to the one you want. It's annoying that it often reloads with the smallest hit. Which also renders the clock and alarm clock useless. So it's fine as basic digital radio, but don't count on having preset stations, a clock or an alarm.

For some reason there is no way to turn this off completely. Even if the radio itself is switched off, the time is always displayed, which obviously consumes a lot of battery power. I've used it twice and had to put new batteries in each time, so I store the batteries separately now. If I had listened to a lot of different stations that had to be tuned in each time I would ask for a refund but since I only listen to NPR it's not that hard. For such a low price, you can use. Just.
