I bought an 8 " foam ball to do the project.

I bought an 8" styrofoam ball to do a project in my home studio. The styrofoam ball exceeded my expectations and helped me a lot. This is first time buying a product like this and may not have used it as intended but it worked great!May buy more very soon!

HIGH PRICE SO IT'S JUST A FOAM BALL. WORKS FOR WHAT I NEED

Great stuff! I made this into a homemade kaotica eyeball. Works perfectly! Good size and density! My only issue is that they only overcharged because they understood what we were using it for. In addition, this ball will be much cheaper. Like 15 dollars.

Sounds awful on my U87 mic

I've been recording vocals full time for about 3 years. I recently moved into a very noisy apartment and was looking for a solution that didn't require me to make handcrafted acoustic foam. All of this creates a terrible midrange boost. I tested it on the U87 microphone. I've never had a Kaotica Eyeball so I can't really compare them. But I can say that using it around a mic sounds MUCH worse than in an open space with some noise. Don't listen to reviews that say it's great, it absolutely…

Easy "cheap " DIY for all levels.

I came across a YouTube video showing how to make a DIY eyeball for a microphone. He provided a link and I was directed to this product. I record in a very small space and my space is never processed acoustically. Sounds awful playing my records (mainly vocals) and EQ is a problem lol. If you don't want to spend $200 now, it's easy and convenient for your budget. To be honest, I wouldn't waste my time with $200 anyway. Both have the same goal! That does the job for me. Highly recommended! You…

I bought this ball to create.

A very affordable version of the Kaotica eyeball. These and similar devices cost a lot of money! The seemingly high price of this foam ball pales in comparison! I cut a 4 inch hole in it about 2/3 deep. I then cut a hole slightly smaller than my dynamic mic at the bottom center of the 4" hole. I cut a hole for the microphone. I plugged the mic all the way in. I found this worked very well! Not an extensive and intense room treatment that would cost anywhere near as much as the Kaotica Eyeball…

Gray foam ball. Eyeball

I have seen many others use this product to create a clone of DiY Kaotica Eyeball. While it may not meet the exact specs of a $200 product, $20 makes it easy to decide to buy the real deal that costs $200. Here's what I found. The product is indeed accurate as stated for its purpose. It is durable, elastic, dirt is not visible on it. For my purpose, it was exactly what I was hoping for. I could easily cut it with a sharp knife and give it very detailed features. As a clone of the Kaoitica…
