Good for one time use but the quality is pretty bad. My board had minor water damage when I received it. Paper items made of wood. But I didn't expect it to last at this price point anyway.

There are many nicer chess pieces out there but for the price and purpose this one is quite good. The figures are a bit small and unweighted, but for the beginner or casual player this set is just the ticket.

Good so all parts are there, nothing is broken but the quality is very poor. The chess board is blistered from water damage, one of the felt pads is missing on the underside and is limp, all painted or printed parts are either half worn or stained, the woodcut is terrible.

Very happy with the value for money. Great little wooden toy box. I expected it to be cheap, but it isn't. I have small custom made chess pieces and this is perfect for them and a great place to keep them. These old fashioned scorecard games have been played for over 100 years.

It's a little smaller than I expected but I never checked the ad for dimensions. Aside from the size, I love the fact that it's made of wood, I'm sick of the plastic junk! Dame, however, are very small; They would pose a choking hazard to any real small children. Queen is the size of a coin, if not smaller.

I think it will be a great family gift that everyone can enjoy. I bought for my family. Everything is fine, but I would like more - chess, checkers, etc. The board can also be a little bigger. But overall it's a good product. Everyone could find their favorite game. Especially good for long winters when everyone stays home late :-)

dominoes are really small NOT standard size. The storage space is very good and does not open accidentally. However, the board is not magnetic, the pieces are light and move very easily, so this is only suitable for playing on a flat surface at home. SUITABLE FOR: Families with young children. It's made of durable yet lightweight wood and the inner drawer holds all the pieces. It's important to remember that the overall size of the board itself is approximately the size of a standard 8 1/2" x 11" sheet of carbon paper. So if you look at the pictures they can be deceiving. Great set, great price. Perfect for travel, although I'd keep it in the box as the lid doesn't snap, slide or latch. Light wood but the pieces are heavy enough to be played with ease. Comes without instructions (many 'classic' playsets don't have them) but you can find free and easy instructions online if you want or need them. We keep it in our travel play bag along with our other travel sets. Everything comes boxed and shared, but once opened it's just in a drawer. There are no "compartments"
