Made from good material.

pads seem to last a long time, I've only used one pad and it still looks new. Works great with cerium oxide gordon glass. It took about 2 hours to polish all the light scratches caused by the wipers working in the mud and sand. The scratches made driving at night dangerous. Replacing the windshield on my 2009 Jaguar XKR would cost $800. It was a very affordable option.

Pros
  • Quality workmanship

1968 Mustang Tools & Equipment

I used these sponges to polish all of the glass on my 68 foot Mustang. These pads were used as follows: 1 on both side windows, 1 on the rear window, 1 on the windshield. That's about as much as these pads can handle. If you want to make more glass I recommend buying more than the 3 included in this pack. You can wash them with warm water, but they're pretty worn out after all the work.

  • Solid Finish
Cons

Genuine product. for body repair tools

Great product! I have used it in combination with Duragloss 755 glass polish to remove really stubborn water stains from car glass. It took 6 (!) uses with these pads but they came out clean in the end. The fact that you are looking at this product means you have REAL water stains. One you can see and feel with your fingernail. Don't expect them to come loose without REAL effort! This product will work well if you don't give up too soon.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Perfect for acid rain and salt damage to car windows!

Excellent. Our family's car has been exposed to southeastern weather and salty air for over 10 years. Finally, the car was ready for a complete (TOTAL!) makeover. It's amazing how obvious the engraved watermarks are when the rest of the car is smooth. I already had a GG Orbital Griot's Garage 10813STDCRD 6" random orbital polisher with 10" cord and Driven Extreme Duty DRIVEN Extreme Duty Glass Cleaner. These pads quickly took care of the watermarks (and eliminated a ton of clutter).

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • There are flaws

Use with Standard Drill - Attention

If you use them with a standard drill and not an orbital drill, be careful. I polished the glass on the shower door and it was hard work. One door had quite a bit of hard water etching and the other had a lot more. After a few hours of work I got my first pretty good look. With a standard drill this is hard work because the pad wants to swing everywhere and away from you. It takes control and patience. When trying to polish the second shower door I broke the glass because it was too hot for me.

  • Pleased
Cons
  • Obsolete Model

Best Ever, Clear Winner

Just polished my headlight lenses for the 4th time in 3 years. Best Ever, Outstanding Winner! I usually use the 3M Foam Pad and this is my first time with Griots Garage 3" Glass Polisher. It was worth every penny. I used it with a 3M Kit 3" drill bit adapter without the foam sponge. I just have a glass polishing pad put it on the adapter and used 3M Glazing Compound and my 12v Bosch drill (all from Revain) Both headlights washed and look new in about 5 minutes Another 5 minutes to polish with…

Don't use them on your car

I think a lot of the positive feedback comes from people who don't use the Scangrip (or similar) detailed light to check their results. That's the only thing I can think of, or they're not picky. They might look good in the shade to the naked eye, but when you light them up you'll see all the damage done by those pads. This isn't my first rodeo so I VERY doubt operator error is the cause. Luckily he only messed up my test point before I caught him and threw it in the trash. I will now be…
