I don't know why people say it doesn't fit the new Lowe's spoons. Maybe those reviews don't mention their 5 gallon buckets. In any case, I would recommend taking the sand trap to your trusted hardware store and having it checked for accuracy of fit. I can vouch for the 5 gallon buckets(!) - the guards fit the buckets snugly and don't move even when pushed around during the wash! Great product at a reasonable price compared to alternatives at Revain.

Not sure if this is actually sand separation as the two bucket method has both my buckets filled with soap. So I'm a little unsure and can't see it. However, I find it easier to imagine doing everything in my power to not overturn my car. On the negative side, it only fits certain buckets. Most buckets I've used are only semi-submerged and are fragile in construction. I dropped the protection once, and now I've broken off several connecting parts.

Keeping your car in pristine condition requires 2 sand catchers and a 2 bucket washing method. I've washed my cars the wrong way all my life and found it pretty easy to switch to the two-bucket method. Pair this product with a pair of cheap buckets from Lowes (blue) or Home Depot (orange) and a quality wash mitt and you'll stop scratching your car with every wash. both are placed in a bucket (which is placed in another bucket).

I will say that, I would like them to be cheaper so you can buy a dozen! I would not only use them to wash cars, but also as a feather duster (to dust off my damp microfiber cloth) and also as flooring in my shower stall. I would then place large shampoo bottles on top to dry the soil under the bottle, or you can place whatever else you need to dry in the tub or shower. These covers are great but depending on the type and size of 5 gallon pail you are using they may not fit. This is my suggestion for you. Take these shin guards to a major hardware store and try them out in the many different buckets they carry until you find one that allows the shin guard to hit the ground.
