This hand crafted wood clutching toy for early play is easy for your children's hands to grasp, safe for teething, and perfect for babies aged 6 months and up. For early motor skill development, teething, grabbing. Colorful beech shapes are threaded on sturdy elastic. Measuring approximately 5 1/2", the Clutching Toy Clatter Rainbow is safe for teething and has been tested to the highest EU and US safety standards. For HABA responsibility is written in capital letters. We use beech wood that comes from sustainable forestry in Germany. Since 1938 HABA has been dedicated to creating quality toys for children of all ages. We use multiple layers of water-based, solvent-free non-toxic lacquers to make the surface extremely resistant to wear and tear from playing and teething.

Well built and comfortable for little hands

My child loves to grab and chew on this toy. It helps that they make non-toxic toys because he's just grown two teeth and he's really digging into them!

Defective?: Toddler toy

Cute wooden toy but a bit deceptive. I thought the red ring would move around the caterpillar to help the child develop hand-eye coordination and motor skills, but it's actually only stuck in one spot. From the product photos it looks like you can move the ring, maybe what I received is defective.

Haba has changed baby toys

I have been a loyal Haba customer since 1991 and buy Haba toys for babies and toddlers. It was a present for my dear friend. The face is a little disappointing. They used to make all faces round shapes too. The image of what they advertise is misleading. The face is flat and does not (optically) match the rest of the body. The hub begins to lose its uniqueness. Very sad.

Slightly smaller than expected but cute. My child has so many Haba toys.

A little smaller than expected but charming. My kid has so many Haba toys and they are great. I think it's great that the wooden toys are made in Germany and that the entire company produces non-toxic toys. The EU is far from what is allowed in the manufacture of toys. As much as I want to support American companies, I always feel better about buying European brands.

Great baby and toddler toy Wooden toy

My daughter got this when she was 4 months old and after watching me for a few moments she immediately started using it. She is fascinated by the rattling sound and enjoys vigorously moving it up and down next to her. With a little practice, she can now move it between her little hands, swapping places to hold it in the other hand.
