I hate sounding terrible, people have always praised the virtues of this shoe. I finally bought a pair to use as indoor shoes. They are just fine. I've been struggling with plantar fasciitis/tendonitis for over 10 years and I think I need more cushioning in the sole. LESS people! The description says 39 is 8, but I think that's too big. I think of my feet as 7 and 3/4 so I have a 38 they call 7 and they fit perfectly even with a little room for that size. I use them as slippers as I have tried two pairs of women's Haflinger slippers and while they are very comfortable they actually tear, flatten and warp after a year or two. These used to be the best wool clogs money could buy... until Haflinger went from a black rubber sole that obviously scratched hard floors to a beige rubberized synthetic sole. I didn't mind the black rubber sole version but I recently bought my 5th pair (about 8-9 years old) and got w. beige sole. The clogs worked well until the heel and toe areas were "sanded off" from walking on our carpets and are now so slippery that they are not safe to wear at home. No stop! These clogs would be great…

The description of these clogs on the homepage lists them as "HAFLINGER Unisex GZ clogs which appear to be for 38 EU/Women 7M US or Men 5 (D) UNITED STATES. I have a pair of these clogs from the days when women's clogs and men's clogs were two different things and I loved them. Unfortunately, these new and (not) improved clogs are baggy and offer a sloppy fit even with fairly bulky socks. I loved these clogs and have been wearing them for ten years now. But now Haflinger makes them in several factories and in several countries in Eastern Europe. The fit is not constant from one production site to another. I had to return them and pay full price at a specialty store where I could try on several pairs until I found the right pair. You've been a size X for 10 years and you're ordering a new pair, they won't fit like the last few pairs you bought.

I got them last March 2018, don't wear them that often, I find them too warm for my feet. The cork breaks and the sole moves away from the sole of the left slipper, and the right one also begins to peel off. These shoes don't impress at all, especially for the money they cost, they shouldn't fall apart that much considering they won't be worn that often. Customer service didn't say anything good either, after 6 months they don't care if they have any problem with their products.
