It is very easy to see the baby through the mesh

The base is wide but lighter than the original version. There's no turning, but you can rock it back and forth when you need to lie down and get out of bed. It is very easy to see the baby through the mesh. It's helpful after a cesarean so I don't have to get out of bed to feed her (like the other bassinet we had). In general, it perfectly meets our needs.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Long wait

Compare to pivoting model

I had a pivoting halo three years ago (one for $250) and foolishly thought I would never have more children until my surprise baby arrived. I didn't want to spend another $250 so I decided to give it a try instead. In fact, I prefer gliding. The biggest problem with the swivel is that it's difficult to get in and out of bed because it doesn't move (this suction cup is HEAVY). Sliding solved that problem because now I just slide it back. Walking is very easy (we have carpet). The price is also…

  • Delivery was very quick

I would feel better if this bassinet was more durable

This sleeper is just big enough for my bed, thank goodness. Being able to reach my baby from my bed level was a great relief as I had an emergency c-section and was unable to bend down to reach the lower cradle height. Cons: 15 lb weight limit. My baby was born weighing 9lbs 1oz and at 1 month he weighed 10lbs 4oz. Now at 6 weeks she weighs about 12 pounds. I'm afraid she will be too big for this bassinet at 8 weeks which means we paid a lot of money for something we hardly needed. It seems…

The risk of SIDS is not level.

We bought this bassinet based on the good reviews. We were aware of some bad reviews stating the cradles weren't level, but then other reviews got confused that their cradles were level, so we decided to give it a try anyway. It was difficult to put them together (and take them apart to send them back). When we managed to assemble the base, the stand didn't look flat. We made sure it was assembled correctly and it was. I pulled out my spirit level and the surface of the cradle wasn't even…

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Nothing

Attention buyers! suitable for baby and toddler beds

I did a lot of research on rollaway beds and read hundreds of reviews before buying them but nothing prepared us for how bad it is! Start collecting. My husband and I know how to pack things. I assembled our crib and changing table, several bookshelves, an Ikea desk, etc., but within about 20 minutes of assembling this thing, the holes on the bottom just didn't line up and the last few velcro patches of fabric didn't cut it. After taking it apart about 3 times, not only was the coated wooden…

Pros
  • Great overall features
Cons
  • Doubtful
