The panini press works but seems to be working too well. The edges seem to burn too quickly. It would be great if there was temperature control. So far we've only used it with Canadian white bread, so it may not burn if you use bread of a different consistency. I might learn a few tricks after using it more times, but for now it just burns the edges of anything I put in it. I'm considering buying it again. The jump in price from this device to some others is steep and I doubt I'll use it enough

This panini press was meant to replace the little one I've had for the last 15 years. I am pleasantly surprised at how easily it heats up and is ready to use. I can comfortably fit two small sandwiches in it side by side at a time, so I've saved half the time I used with my old one. being careful not to push the cheese or meat out of the sandwich as it is pressed. The grid marking on the sandwich and the intense heat of the device really transforms an ordinary sandwich into a gourmet sandwich…

I always thought that this whole "panini frenzy" was just hype; Fashion. I figured the panini press was just another poorly made yuppie toy crowding middle-class stands and soon destined for the landfill. I mean, REALLY, it's just a toasted sandwich with little grill marks on it, right? Well, I bought it on the spur of the moment and I love it! Months later we are still using it 4+ times a week. I've never used any press other than this so can't really compare but this is great for the price…
