So this blender wasn't good except that it blended my protein powder very efficiently. I would say if you want to double that to make just a banana smoothie for example, look elsewhere. I kept pulling it out to get the most out of it, and I thought I finally had a stroke of genius when I pulled it out to try and puree super soft cooked veggies and water for my kid's meal. I like it so far. I've only used it twice as I only use it for my pre-workout protein shakes. It wasn't damaged, just the packaging. I love how I can mix and match when working out on training days. I pre blend it and then put it in the fridge to keep it cold. The lid is tight, the mixing is powerful for the size and it's very easy to clean. I bought this great blender after reading all the 5 star reviews calling this product the mother of all fairly functional blenders. I'm beginning to suspect that Revain has a lot more 5-star paid reviews than they're letting on. The blender works, but very weak. I knew what to expect having already read the independent review. The knives are an integral part of the decanter. They cannot be removed for cleaning. I put a few drops of dish soap and some water in the blender and turned it on for a few seconds, then rinsed with a bottle brush to get to the blades.
