My family loves to cook 붕어빵, which is a Japanese red bean dessert. We also use it to make pancakes just for fun and for our little cousin. Easy to clean as it is made of cast iron. We've had it for probably two years now, but it falls apart at the hinge when cleaning. It's easy to fix but great to use.

The cutest thing ever! It was very interesting for me to experiment with different types of dough and toppings! Sometimes I make sweet pastries and toppings, other times they go for lunch or dinner and are filled with savory cheeses and meats. Nutella, cream cheese, tuna, smoked salmon, raspberry jam and cracker batter cheesecake, oh yeah I love this pan. And the shape of the fish is really good.

This is a great little desert that's fun to play with. All in all a very good product, however it is a bit difficult to get the right temperature on the hob. We have a smooth top end and after a few initial time trials we were able to perfect these little fish. We've experimented with Nutella, chocolate chips, and Jif chocolate cheesecake with hazelnut fillings, and it's all been delicious.

Okay, that worked TOO well. I was expecting it to be a disaster but it worked so well I ate 7 of them stuffed with Nutella and felt nauseous afterwards. I used Tayaki's online recipe which works wonders. Maybe next time I'll have friends because I was NOT healthy after eating them all. The pan is truly non-stick, the product is well made and incredibly easy to care for. It also literally takes up 0 space in my account.

So, does it make great fish dishes? Yes. will you impress your friends? Yes. Fish almost always breaks because it gets stuck? Yes. This item is not even slightly non-stick. I had to rub it with olive oil so they came out decent from the pan. They make good fish shapes with nice visible designs but I probably broke about 50% of the ones I made (I made 18? I think) which is very disappointing. and a spoiler alert: it's really hard to clean because everything is stuck to it.

I had no idea how tiny the fish are. Although that's my problem. If I had known that, it would have seemed a bit expensive to buy. I probably wouldn't buy it. However, when I used it to make Taiyaki, I didn't regret it anymore! You are so charming. It's small, but that's how it fits on the stove! The size is just perfect so I don't get tired of eating Taiyaki. I can even try other flavor fillings while I'm at it.
