Worked great for toner cartridges

I used them to reinstall the rosette panel on my RV's wall that was poorly installed and peeled off from the factory, loose and hanging. These mounts worked great. The manufacturer (Jayco) must use them in their builds. Ideal for thin walls/RV panels. The nest plate is now firmly fixed.

Cheap Junk: Printer Parts and Supplies

Glad I ordered more than I needed as half the screws were snapped off. Sometimes they undressed as soon as they started, and sometimes just before they made an effort. I've had two that the bottom half just came loose when I started tightening them. I didn't use any power tools, just a screwdriver and my own girlish power. It's garbage.

Pros
  • Excellent Overall Performance
Cons
  • Slightly Dented

Great for doors and panels

I've looked everywhere for this. Everyone has their own type of cavity for drywall. They are designed for hollow doors, panels and thin plywood. They are easy to use. Drill a 5/16 hole and gently push the base into the wood until the spikes dig into the wood. Once the screw is tightened, it expands relative to the wood. Be very careful when using a drill to turn a screw. I would recommend using a screwdriver to avoid damaging the screw.

Pros
  • Finally bought
Cons
  • Doesn't work

Rubbish - I've used hundreds of these fasteners and it's rubbish!

Every single one of them, either the nut was loose or it was loose in the fastener - none of that really worked as it should. You know, stick it in the hole, twist the screw, and the clasp compresses to hold tight. Not as much. Attention everyone, think twice about using this junk before you tear down a wall in your $300,000 RV. The only reason I bought them was because I was working with a thin wall and thought they would actually work. They don't. they are garbage. And not worth the time of…

Everywhere is cheaper. and don't hammer that screw!

They work as advertised but really aren't hard to find as most hardware and hardware stores (including Lowes and Home Depot) sell them for less than half the price. sometimes referred to as "hollow door anchors". A note. Another reviewer mentioned that the welds holding the threaded end cap break easily. My only guess is that it could be caused by a fastener jammed with the screw in place. Best option: remove the screw completely, drive into the cargo area to attach the handles, then reinstall…

great clasp. for toner cartridges

This mount is excellent for attaching to very thin substrates such as hollow doors and luan (wall material for most campers and RVs). drill . To install, make sure the small tabs on the underside of the flange are dug into the ground before tightening the screw. This keeps the fastener from rotating and flattening the tabs, and the metal is very soft and easy to remove. Threaded so tread lightly when using a drill to tighten. When installed correctly, these fasteners are a great way to attach…

Pros
  • Have fun
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

When I first used this type of mount it was very easy to install with a single screwdriver. Now with the production in China they have a mess. The flange under the screw head has metal tips that dig into the wood surface and prevent the knot from turning when tightened. The flange is now so soft steel that the tips collapse with very little pressure - useless. On the other hand, the steel used in the body of the device is so stiff that it is not possible to try to compress the body and spread…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Infinitely slow
