🔍 HI Double-Ear Fine Nylon Mesh Strainer Set - Set of 4 Review

These nylon screens came in crushed bubble wrap which crushed the nylon screens. This rendered them unusable as hot water would not flatten them. This can cause my kefir product to spill. Whoever wrapped it had no idea what they were doing. I would like them replaced and shipped in a box that prevents them from being crushed. Many Thanks.

This strainer set was originally purchased to strain kefir mushrooms. While the smallest 3-inch filter is technically up to the task, it does a pretty poor job (I recommend the OXO funnel and filter set). However, the filter set itself is superb and has proven more than useful for a variety of kitchen tasks. not least the sifting of large quantities of kombucha tea!

This filter set is generally of good quality, and the relative price is also good. The 2 large screens that arrived were standard size with 1-1.5mm holes; while the 2 smaller screens had a finer mesh with holes ranging from 0.5-0.8 mm. Nylon mesh filters are essential in every kitchen and there is no need to replace them with metal mesh filters due to the nature of the material and the way they can be used in the kitchen.
