Be aware that this toy is dangerous! Not only did it get completely entangled in my daughter's hair, it cut her face when it flew too close to her and now she has a huge stain all over her cheek. Needless to say, the pixie flyer will be returned tomorrow. We received it today and the girls were so excited but after two incidents in a row it's totally not worth keeping. Save money and buy another toy

EDIT: I called Hatchimals customer service and they sent a replacement. It was a quick and easy phone call and went smoothly so I upgraded to 3 stars for good customer service. We gave this item to our daughter for her 6th birthday and it worked amazingly well for about five minutes before crashing into a wall. and break. This is not that easy to fix as the plastic nozzle broke on impact. This would be a great product if it was of a higher quality.

My daughter loved playing with this flying pixie. She started playing with it straight away (after a good charge). The pixie flew perfectly until it got too close to my daughter's long beautiful hair. The pixie got tangled up to the root in my daughter's hair. The release was traumatic for her. It took scissors and hair pulling to remove the elf. I'll send it back as soon as possible. I do not recommend this to a little girl with long hair. Unless you want to give them a haircut at home.

I bought this for my daughter for her birthday because she saw an advertisement for this product and she really liked it. We received and loaded it. The first time worked great. After the first launch it completely stopped working! It didn't spin, it didn't charge, it didn't do anything. It's very thin and unstable. That thing is dangerous! I'm terrified of my little one. The toy kept flying right past her head! This is definitely not the gentle flying fairy portrayed in the ad. I was afraid she would cut her face or get her hair tangled and now that I've read the other reviews I realize I wasn't stupid enough to worry about that. It's like a fan without a guard to keep the blades from hurting children. Ours will return. Don't be surprised if these things disappear from the market!

Okay the first one didn't work at all so I bought another one because my daughter loved it and didn't want to wait 2 weeks for it to be sent back from the factory (as suggested by technical support). This is a great idea, I thought my 6 year old would love it after watching TV commercials about how easy and fun little girls play with this. Needless to say, this is very difficult to control.
