Not durable for a 7 year old boy

I'm afraid I bought this for one of my 7 year old twins. It's not strong enough as it's just got back from a fairly windy/rainy evening and everything is a mess. It's actually irreparable and my son is very frustrated as is me. I can't bring him back because he's not without fault, he tried to shake him up to get back in shape and made it worse. We are sooo disappointed. The other twin has a shark, but I can only trust him with a drizzle.

She easily learned to open and close safely.

We bought this umbrella for our 4 year old daughter and she loves it. After several demonstrations, she easily learned how to open and close it safely without pinching her fingers, which speaks to the umbrella's child-friendly design. Also, the dinosaurs change color (which I admit I didn't notice in the description, so that was a great surprise). The only problem now is that she wants to play with him indoors all the time and get him wet to see how they change!

This is a great little umbrella

This is a great little umbrella if it wasn't for a small dot I would have given it 5 stars. The child is 4 years old and would like a button to close the umbrella but I see where this can be a problem with children and buttons. But the opening and closing is a little difficult for an independent child who wants to do it for himself. Well they can open it but that's the last part to get the click to keep it open. Especially when offers of help are rejected. Maybe that's a personal matter. But I…

Baby loves stick umbrellas

Our little one asked for an umbrella for her birthday and she loves it. She opens it inside and walks around saying it's raining. She also uses it outside in real rain, although we don't let it be used when it's very windy (more for her stability than the umbrella). To be honest, she doesn't always take it very seriously, but some of the advice has proved misplaced a few times. It's easy enough to put them back on (so far), but it makes me wonder a little about durability. The shark design is…

Not strong enough for a rough child

I have a very active 5 year old son. I'll readily admit he's tough on everything he owns, but that umbrella broke the second time around. The mental supports inside are very thin and my son's material was thin enough to detach from the top. This is a super cute umbrella! My son has the same rain jacket and boots which are amazing. He can wear the same jacket for a while, but his legs are growing like crazy. We always get the same boots in the next size up. This umbrella just doesn't seem to be…

The crack squeezed it so tight it took me a few minutes to reach it.

Wooden umbrella handle. It's obvious it hasn't been processed properly, so it tears. That means not only splinters, but also cracks that pinch and the handle will eventually fall off, exposing the metal. This morning my son grabbed his umbrella by the handle and screamed. the tear pinched him so tight it took me a few minutes to get rid of it. He cried. It was heartbreaking. He also jumped out when he grabbed it. I would suggest they start using plastic for their pens and get their money back…
