Using this product, our team found that it did not live up to expectations. While it did provide some protection against heat, it did not significantly improve overall performance and was difficult to install.

Half an inch is a bit thick and probably overkill for me, but it was still fairly easy to install. I think it should come with a cheap breathing mask and cost less. It works, I can keep my hand on the hat without my skin immediately melting. No doubt it was important.
