Great Hand Stitching Tool for Leathercraft!

This tool is an excellent addition to my Arts and Crafts arsenal. Based on my observations, it is easy to use and produces neat and consistent stitches. The handle is comfortable to grip and the needle is sturdy enough to penetrate thick leather. However, it would be better if it came with more needle options for versatility.

Rough, poor finish but could work.

They are shaped like much more expensive piercing irons, but appear to have been made from pieces of steel lying around. Look at the pictures, they are full of scratches, pits. The teeth are not smooth, they have small ridges on each side, so you need to work on these teeth before they work as expected.

Bought a 3.85 set, good price

Made a wallet and I used it to die cut all the outside edges after all the layers were glued. Imbued +0.25" stack of leather, glue and double sided tape in 2-3 strokes/presses. Please if you are using a cheaper metal punch save yourself the frustration by using 1lb. Hit (sand filled head) with a rubber/plastic mallet and hit the "poundo board" which is made of 1/4 inch thick rubber so hard I can barely bend it. Place the workpiece on a hard, stable surface (e.g. cast iron table saw, concrete…
