The wooden dowels were so brittle that splinters fell out every time I put them together. It took me 25 minutes to figure out where to put them because they aren't labeled and the instructions are a crappy photo that doesn't explain anything. Besides, he hardly got up. Even on a windy day when others are flying kites, everything is fine. I had to buy another.

perfect day for a kite. My son was very excited. Unfortunately this kite did not work. He flew only 15 seconds. If caught in a cross wind it would have gone straight down. I even tried. No luck, it just doesn't fly. Also the cable and the handle are very flimsy. It's better to spend an extra $$ for something that works. My daughter had another kite and it flew perfectly at the same time and in the same wind.

No instructions to build the first kite flight --- I had to look at other kites and make an educated guess. I asked where to put the line and never got an answer. I ended up just threading the rope through the center hole of the kite and it flew fine. After further research I found that there are very small holes around the base of the kite. My guess is that the strings should be woven into these holes. Well we had to adjust it but it worked and flew!
