Quite small but lacking in material and quality.

Product not very durable or of poor quality. I had to fix it out of the box for the first time. Part of the carpet (poor quality) has already come loose, as have the sides. I had to glue. Our cat hasn't played with it yet.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Not sure

They like the toy at least

So far I can't get my cats to use the scratching post after a few days. They like to play with the toys. I think it's only a matter of time, they had cheap cardboard scrapers that would tear them into small pieces and I think this one will last longer. You just have to get them to use it. It was easy to set up and seemed stable.

Pros
  • practical thing
Cons
  • Some problems

Assembly required, associated screws not included

Cat Scratch Device requires assembly but does not include required parts. The screws were too short and you can't attach the sides. They also included a screw for the high part, but with a threaded insert. I would not order anything from this company because they obviously have no quality control.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Repair

Now stop stretching the couch.

Easy enough for a 17 year old to put this together and if you know him you know it will be a challenge. But he did. The instructions were on the box and a bit clumsy but pretty self explanatory. We had to loosen a piece to attach the high pole as the 'carpet' was laid on the wrong side. But it was easy to fix.

  • Nice build

I didn't buy it but let's just talk about the video

Hmm. Has anyone else noticed videos of cats using this product showing them looking at something in the air rather than a toy? They don't even pay attention to that, except for a brief moment with the ball. I think the seller needs to come up with something more convincing. I'm looking for toys but the lame video alone says NO. But beautiful kittens!

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities

Cheap cat scratching post

Difficult to assemble as there was glue in some strands for threaded holes which I had to remove or cut so I could actually twist the pieces together. There was no hole for a high scraper, I had to cut it out as well. The horizontal post is not secure and rotates because it just sits on the screws instead of screwing them in. Plus, my cat hasn't even touched it since installing it.

Pros
  • Done
Cons
  • No insurance

Keeps cats and kitties busy

This cat rod is a great way to entertain my kitty and is super easy to assemble and durable. My cat is 10 pounds and he can stand on it with no problem. He seems to like three string toys and their durability seems promising except that one of the toys broke on the first day. The scratcher itself is very durable and scratches well. Overall, this cat post is a good buy for cat owners.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Big and bulky

It was harder to assemble than it should be but the cat loves it

I have assembled all sorts of furniture, scratching posts, etc. It should have been easier than it was. Several holes were sealed with glue and carpet to keep the screws from going in. After we cut out the blockage, we were able to put it back together. This helped both of us screw the screws down. The kitten was very interested and watched as we struggled to assemble his new toy. Once that was done, he was happy to start scratching. He loves sisal scratching posts and tries to pull them up…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Long wait

Whilst this is a good cat scratching post I am very disappointed that I did not receive the one I ordered! I chose the double scratching post precisely because I liked the low floor scratching post for my older cat with osteoarthritis of the hip. The one I received is a decent scraper but completely different from the one in the photo. Still, it's a decent scraper. It was very easy to assemble and the legs at the base make it more stable than other cat scratching posts in this price range. The…
