3 minute 1 second silent timer

Definitely close enough for my french press coffee! I've had enough squeaky, blinking, battery-eating things. And it's a good size, big enough not to fall off. And it's not plastic.

Fairly Inexpensive

Bought 2 of these great value 3 minute timers. Both tested with a cell phone watch with a second hand. Both are slightly behind by 10 seconds. The first is 2:50 and the second 3:10. Although close enough for my use.

Cheap product for kitchen stuff and gadgets

When I received it I checked to see if it was a 3 minute timer but it wasn't. It only took 2 minutes and for the second time I turned over all the very fine sand that had been dumped on my bedside table. Thrown away. Should not be returned.

Old School: Thermometers and Timers

Sure I could use my Echo or phone as a timer, but my mom had an hourglass timer very similar to this one and I love the memory of it, so here it is is what i use. This one is pretty accurate. Probably not as accurate as the Echo or your phone, but within a second. It is beautifully finished and looks great on the counter.

Worked fine but broke.

We used it when my kids brushed their teeth. Every time we've tested it, it's been close to 10 feet. This gave the kids extra time because they were always in a hurry before. One day they decided to flip it and the timer fell 3 feet to the ground and broke. I took this one hoping it would be more durable. The search for the perfect hourglass for her continues.

Reflect on the impermanence of life as you prepare the perfect soft-boiled egg.

I use this HIC-3 3 Minute Egg Timer to measure how long eggs are cooked. After watching 3 minutes of my life go by, I'm guaranteed to have the perfect soft-boiled egg. This is the fastest egg timer I have ever had the pleasure of measuring egg time with. Yes indeed. But it broke when the cat threw it off the counter, so I'm giving it less than one star for durability.
