Bought these shoes for a trip to Hawaii and I got in the kayak and got out on the sand with no problem cracking the rocks! They are true to size. The toe box offers plenty of room to move, the kind of arch support you'd expect from a flat shoe, and maybe even a little more. And the lace keeps her on her feet. I've worn many hiking sandals and water shoes, I've even bought the Keen brand. and was unhappy.
