Description of πŸ”’ Enhanced HiLetgo 433M Transmitter + Receiver Kit: High-Frequency Super Regenerative Transceiver Module for Advanced Burglar Alarm Systems

Easy to use, nice range (using antenna on both), you can send strings (text) from one point to another. If you want to automate your house without pulling cables then this device will help you well. Wireless Transmitter Modules allow your Arduino to wirelessly comunicate with other arduinos, or with radio frequency (RF) controlled devices that operate in the same frequency (433Mhz in this case). They work in pairs, meaning you need both a receiver and a transmitter to comunicate with each other. Compatible with SparkFun’s 434MHz RF transmitter and RF receiver. This Radio Transmitter & Receiver pair is perfectly matched to allow you to control items from a distance up to 500 feet wirelessly!.

No more than a few feet

I ordered these for a project where I needed a 50 foot line of sight. I can't walk more than a few meters. I tried the recommended ones on the list. I've tried the web recommended 6.75" straight wire, I've tried the twisted pair antenna. The maximum range when using the Radiohead library was just over 2ft.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

All receiver modules were defective

All receiver modules were defective, could not receive signals from transmitters more than 1 inch away without an antenna, and could not receive signals from transmitters more than a few feet removed were an antenna. To my knowledge the transmitters were not defective, they could travel at least 30 feet and were detected by the network analyzer. I built a huge receiving antenna and could barely reach 20 feet with one of them.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Poor quality control

I just received the modules and haven't had a chance to try them out yet. However, my first impression of these modules is that it may be a manufacturing defect. Through hole components have full length pins on the underside of the boards that had to be trimmed before use. Several had their contacts bent, one so bad it looked like it had been stepped on. No documentation and the pinout on the product side image does not match what is silkscreened on the board. These are all just minor…

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Disappears

Garbage! All items were missing a crucial component!

All transmitters were missing an inductor and all receivers were missing an inductor. None of the receivers have the variable inductor coated with epoxy, indicating that the elements have not been tested or tuned. Do not buy these items. Buy something other than these model numbers. I would not recommend buying the same model from any other retailer as they likely have the same issue. You can do image comparison with this product (don't buy them either!) https://www.amazon.com…

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Some defects

They work but with difficulty

To test them I ran a simple Arduino program that sends and receives messages. The good news is that they all "worked" and arrived very quickly. :one. They come with NULL documentation. Not even a pinout diagram! I had to search the net to find it. This is totally unacceptable.2. I found that the TX block could handle VCC up to 10.25V (again no documentation!) With VCC @ 5V the range was about 2ft. With VCC @ 9.5V the range was 6ft and depended on the orientation of the antenna. Almost…

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Only available in white

Everything worked fine! Suitable for MP3 and MP4 players. Accessories

I know this device got a lot of bad reviews but I think the reason is that most buyers don't know what it is used for or how to use it. . I'm a radio amateur and I managed to attach a 6.75" bundle of wires to a small hole marked ANT for the antenna. I was able to receive data from these modules over 200 feet away. I am using it as a model for a rocket beacon. Using my RF analyzer, software defined radio, and frequency counter, I found that my devices were indeed transmitting on 434.050 MHz or…

Pros
  • Annual Trial
Cons
  • Periodicity

All the parts I received (in a box) are different. None of them have the same cost components in all positions. Most of them had obvious soldering defects including tombstone and loose connections. However, they all have one thing in common. None of them work without adding some missing parts. All are missing a key component (capacitor) on the receiver board. (I've circled the missing component in the attached image.) This is the only possible signal path between the preamp and the rest or RF…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
