Looks Great - Internal Hard Drives

Looks great, works great. I've had ups and downs with the new Hitachi drives, but my experience with the two old Hitachi 3.5 IDEs has been 100%, so I hope this trend continues with this 2.5 IDE.

Pros
  • Computers and Accessories
Cons
  • Modern

I think Hitachi is the best HD

No problems so far. I have a computer with IBM (now Hitachi) IDE drives that have been running almost continuously for the past 14 years. I have many computers and other devices with hard drives, and I often buy new drives. But I never replaced the IBM/Hitachi drive because it failed.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Hard to say

These are the most economical and reliable drives for legacy PATA/IDE systems. The only downside is that they are very hard to find and most other sellers take advantage of this so they can get expensive too. Very reliable drive for the money. Just using it, very fast, quiet and no heat, QUIET!

Pros
  • build quality
Cons
  • the list will be long.

Great replacement and backup for my BMW CIC/iDrive hard drive.

I bought this disc to use in my 2011 BMW Car Information Computer (CIC) which is the heart of the iDrive and Navigation system. The factory drive in the navigation system is a Toshiba disc with 4200 rpm and is very slow. The drive usually starts making enough mistakes to become problematic between 70,000 and 100,000 miles, and BMW takes the coin to replace it. In fact, they usually simply replace the entire computer. This Hitachi drive is faster (5400 rpm) and above all extremely cheap compared

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Some small things
