You get what you pay for

The first came with a broken glass cover. The second shade is not the right size at all, it fits INSIDE the others. I've tried several times to get him to sit up straight in the cage but he won't. Not that you could tell just by looking at it, but it shows the quality isn't quite there. Good for the price but it's not a high quality lamp that I hope to keep forever.

ALWAYS use a dimmable lamp!

This lamp is perfect for a dark corner in our living room. Since it's hanging directly above the seating area, it's really nice that it has a dimmer. Talk about; You MUST use a dimmable bulb with this fixture. Otherwise, an ordinary light bulb will just flicker and drive you crazy! We are planning to order another one above our sofa in another part of the room.

Overall it's good for pendant lights

Pros: Arrived on time, well packaged, exactly as pictured. Cons: The biggest is the dimmer. All of the lights we tried hummed very loudly unless it was on the highest setting. It's in the bedroom, so we wanted it to be dimmable as needed. Also black cable. It's black in the photo, so it wasn't a surprise. However, when it hung down I realized I really didn't like the fact that it was black and sticking out.

Broken Dimmer - Ceiling Lights

I'm disappointed I bought it for the dimmer in the first place. That's why I spent the extra dollars instead of buying a similar model that was cheaper. The dimmer is completely broken, it has no variation and just turns on or off but there is no dimming. I guess between that and timely installation I'm a bit disappointed with the cost. At least it looks great! Pros: Looks good. Cons: Over an hour to install the dimmer broke

The cord isn't chained - it's just a black cord hanging from the ceiling.

That was all I wanted down to the cord not covered with chain. The black cord running up my ceiling and down the wall to the outlet doesn't look like what I wanted. I have to cut the cord so I can put the chain on top and then put it together. Otherwise it would be perfect.

Perfect lighting solution for my rented home

I never fill out these reviews but I was so happy with it and I appreciate the comments that have helped me in the past! It's great quality for the price, easy to assemble, the dimmer is a great feature that really gives off a warm light. I have a fun spot in a tenement with no overhead light and space for a floor lamp that I've been obsessing about finding just right for months - I wanted to do a central light in the middle of the room, but this looks so much better.
