Ideal for cutting stainless and high alloy steels, non-ferrous light metals and reinforced fabrics at a much faster speed than bi-metal hole saws. Tough tungsten carbide tipped teeth have a positive cutting angle which provide fast and efficient removal of chips and swarf. Ideal for production cutting and particularly suitable for use in drills with limited speed control. Tungsten carbide tipped teeth provide superb product life and cutting performance. Safety stop at the base of the hole saw prevents drilling beyond the maximum cutting depth.
This is a well made device. I have the impression that it will last for many years. He got through 14 gauge stainless steel pretty quickly. The key to success is to move very slowly. If you have a drill where you can reduce the speed to around 1000 rpm, you should do so. If using a hand drill, pull the trigger very lightly to keep the RPMs low. Also, make sure the oil or other lubricant you use is flowing.
