Ideal for existing Honeywell zone valves

Ideal replacement for a failed Honeywell zone valve. I had an old valve that required replacing the valve plate. I also bought a transducer board, but since this unit has a new valve board, the transducer board was probably not needed. After replacing two faulty zone valves with this one - an old type where I had used an adapter plate and a new type where I had just replaced the head - I found that the limit switch, which I thought was bad, actually was fine. It looks like the problem was a…

  • Can be installed without disassembling the valve Manual opener (on all models except globe valves, normally open valves) to operate the valve when power is off; Valve returns to automatic position when power is restored
Cons
  • Very Expensive

Fixed Zone Valve - Valves

I bought this zone valve to fix a faulty Dole HM-4 on a Weil-McLain P-FG to replace boilers of the 2 series. The valve he replaced gave me problems for a long time and finally got stuck in the open position. Since they no longer make Dole valves I had to replace them with another brand. The Honeywell V8043E1012 best matched the specifications of my broken valve. It was easy to install and the wiring was fairly simple. I've had it installed for a week now and it works like a champ. The…

  • Compact design for easy installation Actuator can be replaced without removing the valve body or draining the system
Cons
  • Slightly torn

I did however have easy access to the top of the valve

I have purchased this valve to replace an identical valve which has been in use for over 20 years years in use. The valve was installed in a hard-to-reach location, which would have required extensive disassembly to replace the entire valve. However, I had easy access to the top of the valve. I was able to remove the power head and found that the rod holding the ball to the motorized arm had rusted through and was no longer pressing the ball against the seat. I replaced the parts removed from…

Pros
  • The complete power head can be removed or replaced without damaging the water line connections or draining the system
Cons
  • I will add later
