Amazing tool! in concepts

I love this little tool! What a time saver compared to using a darning needle to secure overlock stitches. Easy to use. Make sure the hook "stands up" on the fabric and isn't flat as you go through the stitches to pull the thread end through. Really makes it easier this way.

Pros
  • I always liked it
Cons
  • So far so good

Low power tool, good for sewing

No big deal. I expected it to be very effective, but the hook will do the job better. It may be better if the hook is slightly rounded instead of flat to avoid tangling and the handle part is longer for easier use and storage. The only thing I like is that it has two parts.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Neutral

A must have if you have an overlock

Oh my god! These things are life saving if you overclean at all. They allow you to SIMPLY pull the end of the thread back through the seam to finish and secure the seam. I've struggled with big needles and small crochet hooks, neither of which work as quickly and easily as these little things. If you have a serger, you MUST have it.

Pros
  • Attach your overlock quickly and easily with this tiny flat hook
Cons
  • Not as thick as the others

A great idea! Mediocre results

A friend had one and I thought wow great idea, I'll try it too! I usually just use a very large eyed embroidery needle to pull the extra server threads or finish the overlock. This tool looked like a great and better way. Well - uh. Somehow, but not that much. It was difficult to pull the serger through the serger without snagging the serger. I'll try it anyway and keep it in my kit just in case.

Pros
  • Hook thread near the ends
Cons
  • Obsolete model

NOT AS EASY AS IT LOOKS

I found this to be a great way to tie off the ends of an overlock stitch. The hooks are much thinner than they appear on the web, but I was able to easily thread the hook through the seam, but when I hooked it to the end of the serger, it did NOT pull through the seam. He's too fat. Well maybe that was my fault, I'm a new Serger user, maybe it just takes practice. IDK but it didn't work for me so not a happy camper!

Pros
  • 2 hooks per pack, nickel plated steel
Cons
  • old
