Does not fit. This is definitely not the right strap for the Hoover UH-71230 upright. The belt is loose and even the brush roll does not turn. So, despite the model numbers listed on this page, they are clearly wrong.

This item is difficult to assemble. After that it only lasted about 2 weeks before it stretched and deteriorated. I'll update the review after they vacuum me to see if the belt or vacuum is to blame.

The belt is the correct size but when attached to a vacuum it is very loose and will not rotate the roller. Upon further examination of the belt, it was found to be hard and flat. Looks used, not new. Shit!

The belt is not original, although the seller claims it is. The belt works, but non-OEM, and since the radio inside is about half OEM, I expect a very short lifespan, less than half the OEM cycle. I would not recommend this product just because it is on sale

This Hoover belt should come with the vacuum cleaner. After replacing the defective original belt, it turned out that the original belt was post-sale. The Hoover Type 65 is what you need for the Hoover WindTunnel 3. It's a strong strap that fits over the brush and over the roller pin that sits deeper in the cleaner's cavity. It's quick and very easy to install. I will buy two more to have on hand.

Someone gave me a vacuum cleaner who said it didn't work but I could get it if I could fix it. All he needed, aside from some cleaning, was this belt. It was pretty easy to install, unless of course you don't mind going down to the floor and keeping an eye on some screws.
