Everything is OK. - Bath toy

Don't get me wrong, my baby loves this toy. It's just a little frustrating that she can't use the shark outside the tub to get the fish alone because one end of the fish is flat. The fish looks cheap. But the shark is good. Doesn't stick to fingers very well. This is a normal toy.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others

Fish don't swim best in toddler toys

Fish don't swim at all so it defeats the purpose of the toy as you can't even pick it up with a shark Luckily loves her the toy itself outside of bathing, so it's not a waste of time. Edit: Lost interest in her almost immediately. Upgraded to one star because it still annoys me that it's 100% useless for what it was supposed to be used for. I wouldn't buy this.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Not as fat as other toys

Water hangs/leaves after a few months.

That's great, but the shark fills with water and is difficult to deflate, so I'm sure it's only a matter of time before it fills with mold. Update: This was delivered on March 18th and stopped working in mid-May. Definitely not made to last. Not impressed. For $9, however, I won't be too picky. My son really liked it and still plays with it even though it doesn't work.

  • Certified
Cons
  • No Automatic

cute and funny in bath toys

I saw this and thought it was a great deal and would make a good pool or bath gift. I was a little worried that the two kids playing with it might get a little aggressive and get their teeth caught. When I got the item the first thing I tried was to pinch my arm to see the print. The pressure is enough to catch the fish but not so strong that it marks the kids. I know the kids will love it.

Pros
  • High marks for hold and durability from testers
Cons
  • Exchange availability

The fish don't swim but the trap is fun

The concept is very cute and they loved the shark catching part. However, the included fish don't swim, so grabbing them from the bottom of the tub with a shark claw is nearly impossible. I'm also not a fan of the metal screws holding it together. I assume they will rust after a few baths. The children enjoyed them while swimming and used other floating toys to grab them.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Fun toy, paint peels off immediately

We love the idea and the 3 year old had a blast when we opened it but I feel I shouldn't give it more than 3 stars because of the white colour can on my teeth started to scratch in the first 10 minutes of the game and as soon as we got into the bath it turned into a big mess of white floating smudges. Maybe she'll be a good bath toy again once the white color is gone from her teeth and eyes. I want these areas to be just white plastic.

Pros
  • Several competitors
Cons
  • unreliable

Meh - it's OK: toddler toy

So actually the Shark grip is pretty neat and works pretty much as you would expect. My problem is the little toy fish that comes with it. The photos are a bit deceptive and the fish is actually flat on one side. So when you put them in the water they just sink to the bottom of the tub and lie flat. Needless to say, the shark can't grab them when they're at the bottom of the tub. My 4 year old loves the shark claw and uses it to eat all his other toys but he doesn't want anything to do with…

Pros
  • delivery was very quick
Cons
  • crumpled

Disappointing and easily moldy

I was so glad my son got this for the bath and when he actually played with it in the bath we were both a bit disappointed. It would be better if the little fish actually swims or wiggles in the water, but no, it sank all the way to the bottom and the shark's maw couldn't grab it (it's just more sensible for them to swim, right?) than when it was done , and when I got the toys out, I noticed that the water was INSIDE the shark, and when I squeezed the handle, the water started pouring out of…

  • Easy to read control panel
