On day one I had trouble expanding and contracting the cup holders, the plastic teeth wore out immediately and I had to use extreme force to adjust the cup holders. Fine tuning was not possible without great effort. I use them in an unusual way as they are desk mounted and they are great for that purpose. So I'm giving them three stars because they're good for my unique application, but I was afraid the device would break even for this static use. and would never want to treat it in my car.

I got it working on a recent Silverado. Screwed and glued to a normal carpet. Place this on the center hub of the floor. I couldn't find a better product, no matter the price. The benefit of this is that if you ever really want to use the three-person front seat, you can pull out the floor mat/cup holder combo and toss it in the back of the truck. FYI: It comes with screws, but you will end up buying your own hardware at actual cost to customize your needs

I have used Hopkins products before and have been happy with the quality. However, this product is a little squishy than I expected. I was actually going to send it back but thought I could do it with a little modification. The adjustable cup holders don't slide smoothly, making them two-handed. Mine came with an improperly installed cup holder and was a little tricky to fix as it looked like the pressure required to return to the guide could tear at the base. Purchased to replace a flimsy cup holder that was installed on the hood of my John Deere Alligator. After removing the old one, I bought an equally flimsy replacement, but installed it anyway. While it works, I'm not at all impressed with this cup holder. Every time you try to adjust the position of the cup holders they seem to want to fall apart and that's exactly what happened on my old one. This turned out to be too long to fit in the top of the console as shown in the photo so we used the cable provided to equalize it through the top hole. This makes it awkward to reach around and under to open the console bay. The latch that adjusts the size is difficult to use, so the first few times we spilled when the adjustment came loose.
