I have been trying everything to get rid of gophers and moles when I heard they hate castor oil. IT WORKS! I poured 1/2 to 1 cup of this oil into a large watering can, swirled it gently with a stick and spilled it around and even in my yard (it's non-toxic). Update 02/19/19: I tried it in the recipe, I hoped that the smell would go away, it didn't work and ruined 6 jars of homemade products, the smell is disgusting, like burnt motor oil! Previously 2 stars, now 1 star! The smell is awful, unlike 100% castor oil I've used, the smell is more like motor oil, 100% castor oil is unlikely, won't buy again

Bottle cap broke but only a little bit of castor oil leaked into the shipping carton and luckily all my other items in this order were individually wrapped! . The lid was wrapped in white plastic tape otherwise the lid plug would have come loose and leaked everywhere! The bottle was still full, so I kept it. I bought this oil to take internally to help my beard grow (finish) and used topically diluted lavender essential oil with castor and coconut oils as the oil carrier. seems to be working and my hair on my arms, chest, legs, eyebrows and eyelashes is also getting longer and thicker. Maybe with an internal seal intact and I couldn't get an answer as to why. So I'm not sure of its purity. I was also surprised at how thick and sticky it was, but that might be my ignorance. This is my first time using free flowing castor oil.
