Hotspot Station Digital Support Raspberry Review

At first I had problems with the setup. After giving it some time to turn it on and boot up, it ran smoothly and works great. This is a good buy. Just be patient, watch some online videos how to set it up. Don't give up, it's worth it. Avoid drinking alcohol during the initial setup.

This is my third DMR AP but the first from this company. The other two access points were easy to set up. This is well configured, but does not receive anything from the DMR network. I tried calling customer service (to no avail), I watched some YouTube videos (to no avail), finally I had no choice but to return this item. I'm a tech pro, so I'm not a beginner. Follow the instructions and watch a few videos before even attempting to set up this hotspot. After doing a few troubleshooting steps including deleting and restarting, it never connected to my network. The display never showed up. The board had a green light all the time and a slowly blinking amber light. Pretty expensive "light show”. Even that was pretty depressing. I am NOT impressed or satisfied.

SD card was broken. I want to say that I know how well this thing works, but I can't deal with a broken SD card. Terrible experience with this gadget. Overpriced to complicate the whole setup process. It's bullshit! Update: I was finally able to download the software onto a new SD card, I had to buy one because the seller didn't send a new one. I did all the work I paid the seller to do. My hotspot is finally working! He's only worked an hour or two and now he's doing nothing. Please! Stay away

When I buy a product, I like it when I open it and it's ready to use. Not this product. It has an 8GB card that you need to write data to. This requires you to have or have purchased a TF reader. Going back to read the description I still couldn't find any mention of it. There's also no discussion or diagram telling you where on the device to find the map, and you might just break something looking for it. So I went ahead and bought a TF reader. Innovative metal cover is functional, but the TF cutout (memory card) is too small to remove the TF card to program WiFi request information, so the case needs to be removed. OLED also seems to be DOA. I am returning the item for a replacement. However the Pi board and radio work, once the WiFi is set up I can open a browser window and continue with the setup.
