Wire misconnected, works as described

Works as described, on my drag car it is connected between the relay coil and the control switch. Only knock off the star because you have to rearrange the pins to make it NC and work properly, but it's easy enough. Much cheaper than others I've found for $60+. Can't say much about the amperage since I'm using it in a low current situation, but it's nice to know it can handle smaller fuel pumps.

Good switch but wiring needs replacing

Bought for my old UK car. It is connected directly in series with the fuel pump. The switch has 3 contacts: C, NO and NC - common, normally open, normally closed. Unfortunately, the supplied plug does not have a common cable. The plug requires 3 wires so that it can function as a normally open or normally closed contact. The connector uses Delphi GT280 connectors. I didn't use a connector, instead I used Delphi Metri-Pack connectors to connect common and normally closed pins. The Hotwin…

Ships back to Switches & Relays

Item arrived in working condition. I pressed the button to reset it and it didn't stay reset. I had to click many times to keep it installed. General movement and very random hits won't affect it, but some more power and it will trigger. Then I should try to reset it again. I've requested an exchange but wish I didn't have to deal with shipping to a UPS store. Also, the wiring is set for an open trigger, not a closed trigger. Both ends must be connected. I want all 3 to be connected so I can…

Good switch Easy to reconfigure

The switch is easy to install. B NO and for my purposes it was necessary NC. The change is not documented, but easy to implement. If you need to change the wiring, remove the yellow cap on the connector (see picture). The wire positions are labeled COM NO and NC. It was configured with wires in NO and COM. You want to move the NO wire to the NC position. The wires are held in place with a retaining clip that folds back to release the wire for easy removal. Insert a small screwdriver (I used a…

Works great, a few minutes of effort is worth a huge saving

Great! Install it on a 1988 Ford Ranger (it's universal). If you suspect your original inertia switch is defective, you can unplug it and run a wire between the terminals. Then try to run it. If it works, the switch needs to be replaced (compared to expensive fuel pumps). Now the OEM switch is over $100 and I was hesitant to try this switch which requires 'rewiring' but it's easy and well worth the significant savings. It took me a minute to understand the instructions in the reviews, but when…
