Bought for obvious reasons to protect blankets and clothes from moths. I like that I can hang it on a hanger with the hole in the middle. What I didn't understand, and this is ignorance on my part, is that the smell of cedar will eventually go away and the blocks will need to be refreshed with cedar oil.

Love how cute they are and how easy they are to hang or toss in a drawer or shelf. I just use some sandpaper to sand them down and they are ready to go. The wonderful smell and opening my closet door has never been so pleasant. More importantly, I haven't seen a carpet beetle in a long time. Hooray!

Item must exist. I recently found a dead bug and put on one of my favorite sweaters in the closet and went insane. I started washing all my clothes that were hanging in my closet, afraid there might be more left. I decided to buy these cedar chips and hang them in my closet. They sit well on my plastic hangers and I haven't seen those nasty bugs in a month. It also helps scare away the silverfish. They are quite cheap and should not be missing in any wardrobe.

I got these instead of cedar balls for my drawers because they seem to have a lot of surface area and can lay flat under clothes.
