The gold plating comes off most pins once you try to make a loop. Then I have to throw the needle away and start over. In one session, I threw away 22 different sized pins because the coating was peeling off. I feel like I wasted my money because now I have to buy gold needles somewhere else.

Haven't used them yet but am very impressed. The size I thought was accurate, I knew they would be shorter but at least it won't need much access to trim and I'm fine with that. I wanted something that bends easily and that's what I got. Also the golden tone on them is good. By the way, they come in different sizes, only the largest size is smaller than the average American hairpin.

I am very dissatisfied with these pins. I don't think I can use them. Not only are they mostly bent, but the gilding was not done properly. The gold color on each pin is uneven, it seems they are starting to rust. What's even worse are the pinheads. They are not centered, they are mostly on one side. Save money and buy 24 gauge beading wire instead. Make your own eye needles which I did as returning these needles will cost me more money than they are worth.
